The Storage Terminal Operator’s Conference & Exhibition (StocExpo) took place at the Antwerp Expo in Belgium. After several times in Holland the European Stocexpo took place the first time in Antwerp.

VACONO on Stand # 53 at the 1st Stocexpo in Rotterdam, Netherlands

VACONO will participate at the 1st Storage Terminal Operators Conference, an exhibition accompanied by a conference, from March, 1st through 3rd at the Ahoy Exhibition Centre in Rotterdam.

This will be the first Stocexpo, which brings together the terminal operators and the suppliers for the tank equipment in Europe. We have high expectations in the success of the exhibition, which is accompanied with a conference with multiple speakers with interesting topics.

VACONO at the 11th ADIPEC Exhibition, Abu Dhabi, UAE

From October 10th to 13th the 11th Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference (ADIPEC) took place.

The VACONO booth was set up under the umbrella of our representatives in Abu Dhabi, Messrs. General Petroleum Services (GPS), a subsidiary of the Bin Jabr Group, who organized a central, sectioned booth for various manufacturers represented by them.

ADIPEC is being organized bi-yearly, in 2004 a total of 1209 companies from 54 countries worldwide were represented at this event. Compared to 934 exhibitors from 48 countires an impressive proof of the increased interest that the ADIPEC obviously is generating in the region.

VACONO participated for the 3rd time and also at the VACONO booth we felt that this event is getting of more and more interest, clearly prooven by the number of visitors and clients we had the honour of welcoming to our booth. The VACONO staff present in Abu Dhabi held interesting discussions with VACONO representatives as well as with clients from all over the region. These discussions point into an encouraging direction especially for our VACONODOME.

VACONO VIP-Lounge in California

VACONO's first American VIP Lounge was held in Rancho Palos Verdes near Los Angeles, California. Like last year's conference in Slovenia, Europe it was attended by industry representatives who had the opportunity to hear first hand from satisfied customers and business partners where the strengths of VACONO and its products lie: it is not only the mere quality of our products, the fact that they are easy to assemble and that VACONO sticks completely to the commitments we make; it is the profound customer orientation that drives our business and makes our customer understand who we stand for: for you, our customers!

Vacono has for the second consecutive year exhibited at the ILTA trade show and conference in Houston, Texas.

The great interest in VACONO Products VACONODOME, VACONODECK and VACONOSEAL was overwhelming. The display of sophisticated close-to-life samples has certainly contributed to this success as well as the fact that VACONO has accomplished its first year of active market presence in the difficult US market very successfully.

Vacono Aluminium Covers GmbH - an independent company!

After nearly 30 successful years as Global Unit of Aluminium Rheinfelden GmbH, Europe's oldest Aluminium producer, VACONO has turned into an independent company on May, 1st 2004.

The new company, Vacono Aluminium Covers GmbH will continue to deliver world class products VACONODECK, VACONODOME and VACONOSEAL and stay "Ahead of Technology" in over 70 countries worldwide.

The new independence will allow VACONO to focus even more on customers' requirements and to react quickly to changes in our customers' needs worldwide!

VACONODOME - a great success in the USA

After little over 6 months of market presence in the USA VACONO has been awarded the first lot of VACONODOMEs in California, quickly followed by other projects for different customers in the country. This is even more impressive if one thinks of the fact that the USA are the biggest and probably most active Dome market in the world and Vacono is the only Non-US manufacturer active in that market.
We thank our first customers and business partners in the USA for the trust they had in our VACONODOME - probably the most modern and efficient of its kind in the world!

VIP Lounge in Portoroz, Slovenia

From October 1st through 3rd 2003 the first VACONO VIP Lounge was held in Portoroz on the Adriatic coast in Slovenia, Europe. Especially selected European customers were given the possibility to experience a major VACONO reference in Koper. In this modern tank storage facility VACONO has installed over two dozen of its products VACONODOME and VACONODECK.

The overall relaxed atmosphere represented a unique atmosphere for shop talk among customers as well as first hand information from VACONO specialists on site. This seminar was the first of a series of VIP Lounges throughout the world at different reference sites in the future.

The First VACONODOME for Architecture

In April 2003 the Papiliorama was opened to the public. It consists of two round buildings containing mainly butterflies of the most exotic kinds who live in a most natural, hot and humid environment. One of the two buildings is covered with a 44m diameter VACONODOME with triangular sheets from resistant but transparent foil cushions allowing a maximum of daylight to penetrate into the building. The VACONODOME has been installed at an angle of 30° towards south for more sun exposure.

3000th VACONODECK

VACONO is proud to announce the sale of its 3000th VACONODECK. This VACONODECK will be delivered and installed in October 2001 at Texaco Refinery Ltd., Pembroke, Great Britain.

VACONODECK production in Germany, having started in the mid 1970’s, has expanded to be the most important product in the VACONO range.
